Types of Lake Erie Fishing
In the western basin of Lake Erie we mainly fish for Valleye, Smallmouth Bass and Yellow Perch. We use many different fishing styles and techniques throughout the seasons depending on the current lake and weather conditions. We can start the season either trolling crank bait in deep water or jigging hair jigs for Valleya. As the weather warms up we start trolling insects and / or various spoons and dipsy divers. Lake conditions, such as current, wind, migration patterns and visibility all play an important role in the fishing style that our experienced captain would prefer to use any day.
