Best trout fishing lures

So you want to catch some trout in 2019? Okay, you've definitely come to the right place. I have been fishing all my life in lakes, rivers, and streams. I have done some research and what I believe is the best trout fishing area of 2019.

Before breaking down right and hitting the list, let's talk about the different types of trout fishing you'll find on it as well as how to use them.

Types of trout fishing types

When going through this list you will find some familiar faces. Some of these I have previously talked about in my article, 5 Killer Trout Lars the Crush Fish.

Because this is a new list for a different purpose, I will mention some of these again.

We will once again have some trout spinners, minov style bait, rubber / scented trout bait, as well as a few spoons.

Trout spinner

Trout spinners have been around for a long time. The concept has not changed much. You have an eyelet attached to some kind of wire frame. The three main components of a trout spinner are the blade, body and hook. All trout fishing lures do as competitors add variations to these elements.

You can replace the hooks on trout fishing spinners and add red hooks or some reindeer hair.

Another popular trout is fishing lures that I have had almost before I started fishing 30 years ago. Spoons come in all different shapes and sizes but once again the concept is the same. They mimic other fish by moving incorrectly into the water depending on the size and shape of the spoon.

Minoan trout lures

Minnow lures are exactly how they sound. They have a fish shape with different paint schemes to mimic different species of fish. Some people add lips to the face of these baits to regain the depth of the water column.

Depending on the brand or style you can also see some minnow style trout lures with these gems. The rattle is intended to imitate the sound of the bait fish. They achieve this by adding beeswax, ball bearing, or plastic balls inside the bait.

Minnow lures have variety in that some of them float, some suspend, and some sink. The style of fishing you are doing will dictate the style you use.

It varies greatly when it comes to the lure colors of fishing the best trout for fishing. Factors such as species of trout, leaves, water types, and more come into play.

As a basic rule of thumb it is safe to stick with natural fish colors. These colors will be Silver, Gold, Pink, Greens, Reds, some Blue and Yellow to name a few. There are examples where fluorescent colors are preferred. Colors such as fluorescent yellow and pink.
